Tubatse Development Trust was established in terms of the Trust Property Control Act of 1988. The trust was established in 2022 as a public benefit organisation by Tubatse Platinum (Pty) Ltd. Tubatse Platinum is one of the four shareholders in Marula Mine, a mine located about 35 kilometres west of Burgersfort in Sekhukhune District of Limpopo Province. Marula Mine operates in four farms which cover about six chieftainships.
Tubatse Platinum, the sole shareholder of Tubatse Development Trust, has tasked the trust with the responsibility to execute development-oriented programmes and projects in the host communities of Marula Platinum Mine.

Our Beneficiary Communities
Our beneficiary communities are located in four farms where Marula Platinum Mine holds mining rights, namely Winaarshoek, Clapham, Driekop and Forest Hill. These farms are home to 31 villages and subvillages whose land is administered under six chieftainships – Mashishi, Kgoete, Diphale, Mahlokwane, Manyaka and Seuwe.
